As discussed in my last post, Fence Specialists’ gate shop manufactures all of our own chain link gates. We produce four different styles: 1. Single Swing, 2. Double Drive, 3. Rolling, and 4. Cantilever. You can order your gates in any color and size you want – be it our stock sizes of single swing 4×4, 4×5, 4×6, 3×4, 3×5, 3×6 and double drive 10×4, 10×5, 10×6, 12×4, 12×5, 12×6 or your own custom dimensions. For those of you who are unfamiliar with fencing terms, I’ve broken down the styles we offer below.

Single Swing gates are single panels of chain link and frame that hinge on one side of the gate opening.

Double Drive gates are two panels of chain link in one opening with a drop rod between them to latch the gates shut.

Rolling gates are also commonly known as “slide” gates. They roll left or right of the gate opening on wheels and track.

Cantilever Gates are a form of rolling gate. They are weighted on one end in order for it to hang suspended over the ground when open or closed without the assistance of ground wheels.

Our gates can also be fitted for automation or fabricated with barb wire across the top. When a gate is “fitted for automation,” it will take the form of one of two designs. The first, if you choose a swing gate, will have a plate attached to the back center of the gate for an arm to hook on to and swing the gate open and closed. The second, should you pick a slide gate model, will have a tail placed on the end of the gate for a chain to run through attached to the motor in order to drag the gate open or closed. All of our gates, no matter the material, can be built fitted for automation.
